This is the first class in a series designed to guide students in the transformative practice of embodied meditation. We will explore topics including disembodiment, thinking and feeling, the five stages of discovery, the role of the body in the spiritual journey, and working with discomfort and tension. We will learn bodywork protocols such as ten-points practice, three-fold breathing and cellular breathing in guided sessions. Basic sitting meditation posture and practice will be introduced and we will explore various aspects during the course of the class.

The class is open to all levels of practitioners. There are yoga mats and blankets at the studio — please bring a meditation cushion.

Please write to portland [at] dharmaocean.org to pre-register or if you have questions. Hope to see you there!
