I hope you will consider attending the upcoming Weekend City Retreat.  We'll be practicing on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 & 2, at our usual location. Practitioners of all levels of experience are welcome to join us for one day or both. The weekend will include guided meditations, sitting practice, dharma talks, discussion and opportunities to socialize. There isn't be a fee for the weekend itself, but you may offer a teacher's gift.

The topic for teaching, contemplation and discussion during the weekend will be the Four Reminders, also called "the four thoughts that turn the mind toward the dharma."  If you are having challenges establishing a daily practice, being consistent with practice or feeling like there's no "juice," these reminders are the traditional way to address those situations.  Traditional as they are, they are also completely personal and immediate, which makes them great fuel for practice.

If you're busy on the weekend but can make some time Sunday evening, March 2, we hope you will join us at our community potluck celebrating the Tibetan New Year of the Wood Horse.  Consider sharing your talents  — singing, dancing, whatever you would like to offer!  Folks on the mailing list should have received an invitation from a website called "punchbowl".  Using that website for RSVPs will allow us to organize the potluck meal so that we don't end up with 12 kale salads.

Please do come...  look forward to seeing you all. Write for more information!
